About the Number "the RJ" and "the TN" .

1. Okay, let's continue where we left off last time!

Last time, I mentioned a bit about the sequence of numbers 1.42857.

This number, whether as 4.28571, 571428,  71.42857,or 8571.42, if the order of the sequence does not change, dividing an integer by it will always produce a circular decimal. 

For example,
5 ÷ 1.42857 = 3.50000350000...
3 ÷ 4.28571 = 0.70000000700000...
23 ÷ 5.71428 = 4.2500402500...

I'm not sure which one to choose as the representative, but I'm going to make the representative 571428.

And we call this number 571428 the "RJ number" in honor of the genius Ramanujan.

"RJ" has absolutely nothing to do with "Japanese Raccoon!"
It has absolutely nothing to do with it!




2.  Anyway, let's consider the group of "369" , which is in conflict with "142857".

Whether these numbers are 369, 693, or 936, if you divide an integer by it, you get a circular decimal.

For example,
4 divided by 369 = 001084010840...
7 divided by 693 = 0.01010101010...
24 divided by 936 = 0.025641025641...

I'm not sure which one to choose as the representative, but I'm going to go with 396.

Because this 396 has an interesting nature,

48 divided by 396 = 0.121212121212...
698 divided by 396 = 1.7626262626...
1470÷396=3.712121212...
485156982÷396=1225143.8939393...

And the circulating part is within two digits, isn't it?

Tanu-chan wrote that dividing an integer "A" by either any RJ or TN number always yields a circular decimal, but if "A" is the RJ number itself or the TN number itself (or a multiple of them), then it is not a circular decimal, but divisible by it.

For example, 142857 ÷ 142857 = 1!
