What is the Golden Angle? Part 2

1.  In a recent article (appendix ν), I explained a bit about the Golden Angle.

360° = 1 + Φ = square of Φ = 2 + (1/Φ),

If you think of an isosceles triangle with two equal angles at the bottom of the triangle and also think of a triangle whose bottom angle is (1 / Φ) = 84.98477 ...° ,

you'll get a triangle that looks something like a building in NYC,

....But also I told you that it is just similar to the NYC building.

2.  Some people may think that expressing angles in terms of Φ and then converting them back into numbers is “troublesome”,  since there will be fractions after the decimal point.

However, some types of triangles are not that troublesome!

For example, 360 degrees of circumference is

"Φ squared" (=Φ + 1)

In this case, the angle "1" = 137.5077...°,
So angle 72 degrees = 137.5077...°  x   (Φ squared) /5,
and this angle can be expressed as " Φ squared/5 ".

Then, a right triangle of 72°:18°:90° can be expressed by using Φ,
(Φ squared/5) : (Φ squared/20) : (Φ squared/4)
and it can be expressed fairly easily.

And also,
5/(Φ cubed) = 1.18033988...
and
√5Φ = 3.618033988...

If you remember the “18033988” number connection that I mentioned before, it will be easier to convert the angle using Φ to a normal angle!

3.  By the way, this triangle with two angles of 72°  is often built (seen) as a cenotaph at places where many civilians lost their lives, such as airplane crash victims, atomic bomb victims, and victims of fierce battles in the war, etc. (Reference image).

(Reference)

Well, some of them look like 60° or around 65° , depends on how you look at it, so I don't make any assurances.

.... I wonder why they are shaped like this.

In the past, Japanese cenotaphs were like big natural rocks or something like that.

This triangular cenotaph .... Who built it?

Does this mean that I'm overthinking it too?

...Oh, I'm sure it is!  It is Tanu-chan's delusion!

4. Needless to say, a triangle with two 72 degree angles is a Golden Triangle.

In other words,
this triangle has

side lengths in the ratio of 1 : Φ.

And

the angles are in the ratio
(Φ squared/5): (Φ squared/5): (Φ squared/10).

2-2-1

5..... The Penta

So to speak, it is the most well-formed of the triangles with the Golden Ratio!

That's all for today.
