N. Ceauşescu

1.  Now, today, I would like to turn my attention to Eastern Europe and introduce you to Mr. N. Ceauşescu of Romania.

Many people think of Mr. Ceauşescu as a dictator, a bad man, who was killed by angry people in the end, but I guess the situation was a little different.

2. Mr. Chauşescu was born on February 5, 1918. v=3.66. 

His Sun was in Aquarius ♒, in 60stars astrological sign of Aries ♈, which made him a good candidate for a revolutionary.

He participated in Communist Party activities from his teenage years and was arrested in 1933, when he was 15, for labor union activism.

He was arrested every year since then, and in June 1936 he was sent to prison, where he was imprisoned for about three years.

Thereafter, he served several more sentences and grew up to be a very hardcore Stalinist.

Mr. Chausescu's progressing sun at the time in 1936 was,
18.3 x 3.66 + ♒16° = 82.9° , or around at 22 degrees of Aries, which was in square to his Ascendant.

3.  During World War II, in 1944, he became secretary of Komsomol (his progressing Sun☉ was in  trine with his Ascendant), and when the communists took power in 1947, Mr. Chauşescu became a member of the National Assembly.

Then, in March 1949, he became deputy minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and, as a military officer, he suddenly became a major general.

Mr. Chauşescu's progressing sun at that time was,
31.1 x 3.66 + ♒16° = 129.9°, or at 9 degrees in Gemini, in sextile to Saturn in his Natal chart.

4.  Hereafter, he continued to be promoted, and in March 1965, after the death of Georgy Dej, who had held the top political position for many years, Mr. Chauşescu became General Secretary through a compromise between the various factions.

At that time, Mr. Chauşescu's progressing Sun was,
37.1 x 3.66 + ♒16° = 151°, which would be around at 1 degree of Leo and in trine with his natal Moon☽ at 28 degrees of Scorpio. 

Jupiter and Mars were also in good aspects.

5. In 1968, the Warsaw Pact Organization invaded the Czech Republic ("Prague Spring"). 

Here, Mr. Chauşescu openly criticized the Soviet Union and became a popular figure in the world. 

Economic cooperation with the West also progressed.

Mr. Chauşescu's progressive sun at the time of the "Prague Spring" was,
50.1 x 3.66 + ♒16° = 199°, near at 19° Leo, in Opposition to his Natal Sun and in Square to the MC.

 
I think Mr. Chauşescu must have been very afraid of the Soviet Union inside his heart.

6.  However, the Soviet Union, in the post-Khrushchev era of the Troika regime, did not make a fuss over Ms. Chauşescu's behavior.

Mr. Chauşescu became more influential domestically, and his government took on a more dictatorial style.
　

7. In 1974, Mr. Chauşescu became president and virtually monopolized power (His progressing Sun☉ was in Sextile to Saturn ♄).

Despite the damage caused by the earthquake (his progressing Sun was in square with his Ascendant in 1977), his power remained unchallenged, and he tried to force the people to live in poverty and reduced the country's foreign debt to zero.

8. To be sure, the Romanian government was forcing its people to live in poverty in order to eliminate its foreign debt, and Mr. Ceauşescu's personal cult was quite excessive.

However, the internal politics were not that bad compared to other Soviet bloc countries.

There are not many countries in the world that are net creditors to the outside world.


.....In December 1989, a riot that developed from a demonstration by students rapidly escalated, and Mr. Ceauşescu and his wife were arrested, found guilty without proof of the charges, shot, and their deaths were broadcast on television ("Romanian Revolution").

At that time, Mr. Ceauşescu's progressing Sun was,
71.9 x 3.66 + ♒16° ＝ 279°, or at 9 degrees in Scorpio, exactly in square to Saturn ♄ in his Natal chart. 

It was a sudden and violent death!

9.  We now know that his alleged facts that Mr. Chauşescu had killed a large number of people in order to suppress the 1989 demonstrations, or that he had amassed large personal assets in offshore accounts, were almost entirely untrue.

No one knows who managed to overthrow Mr. Ceauşescu and bring about the Romanian Revolution so quickly and successfully.

There is a conspiracy theory that it was the Soviet Union, but Tanu-chan thinks it was not.
