Growth Inference, and the Formula Used to Estimate Growth   Part 1

1. Humans, or rather the human race as a whole, grow in a spiral shape when expressed in 2 dimensions.

Simply put, we cannot grow by ourselves, so we grow by merging with others.

The most efficient way to combine is to merge with the opposite.

It is, well, quite efficient for a man and a woman to combine to create the next generation.

This merging action is also the mark of the constellation, Cancer.

It is where you grow while incorporating your own and the other's in a spiral.

So, Cancer represents the uterus.

....However, sometimes it circulates as a circle.

When Cancer is exposed to external stress,

and takes up a defensive posture with no scruples.

This is what is called the powerful defensive instinct of Cancer.

2.  The state of merging with such opposites and what is produced from it can be simply expressed by the equation,

X+ 1/X = P

To generalize further,

±Q x (Xⁿ) ± R x (1/Xⁿ) = P

The formula that leads to the so-called "solution formula"

"aX²+bX+C=0"  is,  " a・X  +  b  +  C・1/X =0 "

Therefore,

" a・X + c・1/X = - b "

and thus fits the general formula above.

3.  Of course, this concept has been around for a long time, and the ratio has been studied by including integers in the "solution formula".

i.e. , the "solution formula" is,

X=｛ - b ± √(b²-4ac)｝/2a )" 

where “- b” is a positive integer and a=c=1,

Furthermore, let “m” be an integer,

" X(m)={m+√(m²+4)}  / 2 "

this is called by the special name " the ratio of precious metals" (metallic ratio).

For example, the golden ratio Φ is the solution of the "solution formula", when m=1

X₁=｛1+ √(1 + 4)｝/ 2 = (1 + √5) /2 = Φ

If m=2,

X₂= (2+√8) /2 = 1+√2, 

and this is the so-called white-silver ratio (τ).

If m=3, then,

X₃= (3+√13) / 2.　

This is called the bronze ratio.
