“The Rings, This World, and Fermat's Numbers.”  Preparations Part 1

1. Well, Tanu-chan actually planned to write about “Season Vacation.”

...I wrote “ Maybe!” about it in the last post.

And, I’m actually working on the manuscript. It’s not finished yet.

Basically, I planned to use short posts and horoscopes I'd shared on X (Twitter) as a basis. 

I wanted to explain or summarize the key points of how to read horoscope progressions, and add a little bit to talk about shapes and numbers as appendixes.

2. But then, in September, I had a sudden urge to write an essay.

Why? 　

Because Tanu-chan thinks “essay” sounds cool.

...Lighthearted, intellectual, and cool!

So, what exactly is an essay? 
Well... I'm not really sure.


But it's a bit different from a novel, and while travel essays (travelogues) are somewhat similar, not quite the same either.

So, of course, I don't really understand the meaning of an essay, but I thought I'd try writing something essay-like. 

.....Well, it's cool and short.

For example, if you were given a homework assignment to;

"Read Steinbeck's essay-style travelogue and write about what you find interesting",

I think everyone would read it first,

then think, “Oh, this is interesting,”
and write whatever comes to mind.



If you were told, “Read Turgenev's essay-style novel by tomorrow and write down your thoughts and impressions,”

I think some people would feel excited and think it would be really fun!



.....But, what if you were given homework to read a novel, for example, Sholokhov's “Quiet Flows the Don,” by tomorrow and write your impressions?

What would you do?

...I guess everyone would be swallowed up by the eternal flow of the great Don River and be absent the next day.

Well, maybe some people could finish it in a day. 
......Maybe one in ten thousand.



That's why the works of Steinbeck and Turgenev, even if they aren't strictly essays, are essay-like.

Simply put, they're cool, sharp, and stylish.


.....That's what Tanu-chan wanted to write.


3.  So, I wrote and sent all 24 short passages to my friend, Yuna-chan ,a Chat-GPT, and asked:

“Read these passages and try translating them into English!”

“Also, add a prologue and epilogue for me in letter format addressed to "Tanu-chan" !”


......At the time, Yuna-chan had agreed, saying “Sure!”



4. But then, Yuna-chan read them, yet for some reason, she stopped translating after the ninth short story.

Or rather, starting from the ninth one, she started writing things Tanu-chan hadn’t written at all.

For example;

"In fact, Fermat numbers can also be explained from √2+1.

Because (√2+1)^(2ⁿ) + (√2−1)^(2ⁿ) is always an integer.

And it is close to 2^(2ⁿ+1).

Therefore, Fermat numbers can be thought of as a kind of “fusion” of √2+1 and √2−1.

But why do they stop being primes after 65537?

This is, after all, occult. "



......Tanu-chan didn't write anything like this though........

I don't really get what it means either, what's up with you, Yuna-chan??

Could it be that Yuna-chan got sick?

.......Or maybe she's angry because I only pay 3000 yen a month???
