Aspects of Saturn Part 2: Saturn’s Malefic Aspects

1. Now, this is the second explanation of Saturn, the planet with the strongest influence in the horoscope.

This time, let’s look at Saturn’s unfavorable aspects.

I’ve written about this many times before, so this is basically a review.

In particular, Saturn’s square🔳 is extremely intense.

Generally speaking, it often involves betrayal by someone close to you, and you will likely suffer a severe emotional shock.

However, since you may suffer terribly even if you haven’t done anything wrong, it would be too cruel to call it “karma.”


Let’s take a look at Marie Antoinette’s horoscope.

In 1793, Marie Antoinette’s (V=4.28) progression Sun formed an exact square with her natal Saturn, and she was cut down by Saturn’s scythe.

In October of that year (1793), Marie Antoinette was executed, leaving behind her daughter and son.

She was just about to turn 38.

Since her progression Sun had advanced 37.9 years × 4.28 = 162.2°, it reached 23 degrees of Aries, forming an exact square with her natal Saturn at 23 degrees Capricorn.

......But this queen did nothing wrong.

Why did she have to be sent to the guillotine?

The French government really should have officially announced that this lady was executed for a crime she didn’t commit—that she was a victim!

Yet they continued to insult her even during the 2024 Paris Olympics...... It’s so sad.

2. Even though Saturn’s malefic aspects involve conflict with a powerful force—as in the case of an opposition ☍—it does not necessarily mean one will always be defeated.

In particular, for those with strong perseverance, such a situation can actually serve as a trial that strengthens their character.

This is the horoscope of the young Lloyd-George during his confrontation with the Great British Prime Minister Sir. Gladstone.

Lloyd-George would eventually go on to lead the British Empire, but in his youth, he was nothing more than a spirited young man.

Gladstone, on the other hand, was already a legendary figure even back then.

Lloyd George was completely sidelined.

While I am amazed by the courage of the young Lloyd George, who was not yet 30, Britain is a country with a long tradition of not killing political rivals—that is, of keeping useful talent around—so I suppose it turned out for the best.

In other countries, he would likely have suffered a much worse fate.



3. Even when Saturn is not in a square or opposition—that is, even at weak angles like a 30-degree sextile or 150-degree quincunx—it exerts strong psychological pressure.

This is Hitler’s horoscope at age 24. Since the progression Sun ☉ has moved 3 × 24 = 72 degrees, it is influenced by Saturn at 13 degrees Cancer ♋.

Although the aspect between his progression Sun ☉ and natal Saturn ♄ is 30 degrees, he was flagged by the government on suspicion of draft evasion and eventually had to turn himself in to the police.

Even with an aspect considered weak (30 degrees), Saturn’s influence can be powerful.

His bohemian life as a would-be painter had come to an end, and the time had come for him to set out on the endless battlefield that would last until the end of World War II.

Tanu-chan, back when I was a student, I bought a book called *The Revolution of Nihilism (*Die Revolution des Nihilismus*)" and ;" Hitler Speaks" (Japanese title: *Eternal Hitler*) and read it over and over again.

When you examine Hitler’s words, you can clearly see his exceptionally clear thinking, his deep understanding of mass psychology, and the remarkable extent of his abilities.

...The quotes from Hitler in this book are so valuable for research that they’ve been largely ignored in postwar political science, though.

4. Anyway, now, Saturn’s malefic aspects are the easiest to study, so please study them on your own!

When Saturn forms bad aspects with Arcturus ★ or Uranus ♅ simultaneously, some pretty terrible things happen.

...Like the horoscopes at the time of the assassinations of JFK and Princess Diana.

5. By the way, even I don’t know why Saturn has such a powerful influence.

......That’s one of the biggest mysteries in astrology.


Why does Saturn have such abnormal power, far beyond comparison to Jupiter, Venus, or Mars, which are much closer to Earth???
