191: 60 Stars Astrology: Season Vacation ⑬ The Aspects of Arcturus, Part 2: Arcturus’s Unfavorable Aspects

1. Well, here we are with the second installment on Arcturus.

Arcturus truly shows its true colors when it forms an unfavorable aspect.

Basically, Saturn signifies assassination, overthrow, or execution, but Arcturus is more about accidents or disasters.

As I wrote before, when Saturn ♄ and Arcturus ★ align at the same time, it can be unclear whether it’s an assassination or an accident.

....This was the case with JFK, Princess Diana and Chandra Bose, for example.

A truly accidental or illness-related incident would be, for example, when Stalin was struck by a carriage.

Stalin, who was intelligent, cheerful, an all-around athlete, and a popular figure at school, was struck by a carriage at the age of 12, suffering serious injuries that left him with a lifelong disability in his left arm.

Stalin’s progression Sun at that time was

12 × 2.40 + 27° ≈ 56°, which was around 26° in Capricorn.

Since the aspect of his natal Sun was favorable, he survived.

....If he hadn’t been injured at that time, Stalin’s personality might have been quite different.

Let’s look at a similar example.

Toulouse-Lautrec fractured his left femur at age 13 and his right femur at age 14, and from then on, his legs stopped growing.

His legs remained the size of a child’s.

At that time (age 14), the position of his progression Sun was:

14 × 3.89 + 2° ≈ 56.5

That is, 26.5° Capricorn, forming a square with his natal Saturn and Arcturus.

This configuration is typically one where it wouldn't be surprising if the person had died.

However, through that disability, he came to understand true kindness of heart and lovingly painted portraits of the underprivileged.

Had he not suffered that disability, he might just have lived a frivolous life filled with parties as the son of a prestigious noble family.

2.  As described above, Arcturus’s malefic aspect is so intense that it can even leave physical disabilities.

Therefore, if this planet comes into your chart, be careful to avoid accidents.

.....It can also signify illness.

Mr. Steve Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2003. 

At that time, Mr. Jobs’ progression Sun was at  2.93 × 48.3 years + 5° Aries = 147.1° 

His progression Sun was at 27.1° Cancer, Square to Arcturus.

Considering the malefic aspects from Arcturus ★ and Mars ♂, it was inevitable that he would face surgical issues, but

it was a mistake to try to treat his cancer with natural therapies alone.

If he hadn’t received proper modern medical treatment at that time, the iPhone might never have come into existence.

However, it must have taken a great deal of courage for him to set aside the deep-seated beliefs he’d held since his youth—namely, his distrust of modern medicine.

3.  Well, I think we've pretty well covered the meaning of Arcturus.

The fire stars include the Sun, Arcturus, Vulcan (Spica), Mars, Jupiter, Antares, and others, but when it comes to violence and accidents, Arcturus stands out with an intensity that surpasses the rest.

Conversely, for example, Jupiter ♃ is a noble and cheerful star, so there is no need to fear it in terms of fire.

As you can see, the planets bring the energies of fire, earth, wind, and water to a person, but please note that even within the same element of fire, the way it manifests can vary significantly.

...From next time on, I’ll start with Season ▲ (Delta) instead.

These are just an amateur’s thoughts on the pyramids...Of course, just my delusions!
