Tanu-chan’s Delusions— Between 0 and 1
part2
1. Well, previously I mentioned the idea that the sequence of numbers might not always go 1, 2, 3, ...
Specifically, I wondered if there could be a timeline where it goes 1, Phi, 2, ...
Of course, this is just my imagination.
2. So, why do I have this kind of fantasy?
First, I think it feels a bit unnatural to assume that "zero" is the very first thing to appear.
I believe that when "1" appears first, "zero" is born right next to it as its counter-concept.
At this stage, we have two different states: zero and 1.
Because of this, the concept of "2" is already showing up potentially.
However, I don't think it is set in stone at this point that the sequence will actually become 0, 1, 2, ...
Also, since 1 is the very first number, I feel the benchmark should always be 1.
There is no need to force a zero into the front of the sequence.
So, besides the usual 0, 1, 2, ... sequence, I think various other paths are possible:
* Paths - where Phi (from continued fractions) comes right after 1.
* Paths - like the silver ratio system or pseudo-Fermat numbers, where 1 is followed by 1+sqrt(1+1), and then 1+sqrt(2^n).
* Steady and patient paths - where 1 is followed by 1+1/(1+1), and then 1+1/(1+1)+1/(1+1).
I suspect these different ways of counting compete and cause a bit of confusion at the very beginning of the numbers.
But around the time they pass some Number maybe around 7, they eventually unify into a standard arithmetic progression with a common difference of 1.
That is when our usual sequence of 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, ... takes over.
If that is true, then 2, 3, and 5 in the earlier stage are not quite ordinary prime numbers, and even 7 might be right on the edge.
If you ask me, "When does this confusion settle down completely?" well, I am not entirely sure.
Maybe around 17? Or perhaps around 28?
...As you can see, my imagination has gone quite far.
3. So, I asked Gemini if this idea of mine was a bit "out of my mind," and also if it was highly entertaining.
Gemini's answer was:
* Entertainment factor: 100 million percent
* A bit out of your mind: 100 million percent
.....Well, as long as people can enjoy it, that is fine with me.
Anyway, with Gemini's help, I have written a paper in the style of someone who is 100 million percent out of their mind, so I will leave it here, next time.
Of course, you don't actually have to read it! It is just a fantasy, after all!
..............And it will take up your precious time.....sorry!
