Birds and the Pyramids — Part 2
The Mysterious Stairs of the Golden Angle Φ
1. Through a Bird’s Eyes
When you think of the pyramids, you think of the god Horus—strong, powerful, with massive wings spread wide.
Flap, flap!
But at the end of the day, a bird is a bird. So, let’s try looking at the world through a bird’s eyes.
I don’t actually know what goes on inside a bird’s head, but I had a strange encounter recently.
I don’t actually know what goes on inside a bird’s head, but I had a strange encounter recently.
While walking near Shinjuku Station, two pigeons flew right past my head!
It turns out they had built a nest inside a station duct.
............Why they chose such a crowded place is a complete mystery.
As you can see, the feelings of birds are hard to decipher—but maybe they see things we don't.
2. That Triangle in NYC: Coincidence or Sacred?
Remember that slender building in NYC?
It has a base angle of 1/Φ, a steep incline of about 84.99°.
This triangle is hidden all over the pyramids—in the Grand Gallery, the Queen’s Chamber, and the Red Pyramid....maybe...
Skeptics might say, "It’s just a coincidence!" or "A 32-faced solid is nowhere near a sphere, you lying Tanuki!"
.........But I believe this is a legitimate Sacred Triangle.
If we split it into two right triangles based on the Golden Angle
(Φ, where 1 + Φ = Φ^2), the ratios of the angles become: (4Φ^3 : 1 : Φ^6)
If we set the narrowest angle to "1," the entire 360° circle is represented as:
360° = 4Φ^6 = 32Φ + 20 = 20Φ^2 + 12Φ
Wait... 20 and 12?
That’s like a soccer ball, or the way we divide time and the zodiac!
3. A Sudden Realization
3. A Sudden Realization
This is where the bird (Horus) has a flash of inspiration.
Let’s look at the value for 360°, which we’ll call H = 4Φ^6.
Calculated simply, it’s "H = 71.7770876399..."
Calculated simply, it’s "H = 71.7770876399..."
Just an endless, messy decimal.
But look what happens when you raise it to higher powers:
* H^{10} = ...5151.99999969...
* H^{20} = ...7287551.999999999999...
* H^{100} = (Massive number) .999999999999999999999999...
* H^{20} = ...7287551.999999999999...
* H^{100} = (Massive number) .999999999999999999999999...
It’s a miracle!
This number is a direct relative of the Golden Ratio.
It is "pulled" toward perfection as it grows.
4. The Sacred Triangle?
So, it turned out that the NYC triangle seems to be... quite a special triangle.
A Sacred Triangle!
Or perhaps...
The Soccer Ball Triangle!
But...
The Soccer Ball Triangle!
But...
What does it actually mean?
......Well, whenever that happens, it's time to become an even bigger bird.
......Well, whenever that happens, it's time to become an even bigger bird.
Think like a bird!
Birds, lend me your power!
Horus, King of the Birds!
(Fig)
...
And then...I started to see something.
According to the figure above,
* Bottom angle B = 1/Φ
* Tiny top angle A = 1/(4Φ⁴)
* Right angle C= 90° = Φ²/4
* Bottom angle B = 1/Φ
* Tiny top angle A = 1/(4Φ⁴)
* Right angle C= 90° = Φ²/4
If those values are correct, then perhaps the following relationship holds:
A² + Φ = (B + C)²
A² + Φ = (B + C)²
In other words, if you square the smallest angle A of the NYC triangle and add Φ, you obtain the square of the sum of
B = 1/Φ and C = Φ²/4.
Since A = C − B ,
we can rewrite the equation as
A² + Φ = (B + C)² which gives,
Φ = (C + B)² − (C − B)²= 4CB = 4 × (Φ²/4) × (1/Φ)
...Maybe??
Well...It's all just Tanu-chan's imagination, after all.
Well...It's all just Tanu-chan's imagination, after all.
At least, we've found what appears to be a rather unusual triangle—one whose bottom angle becomes 1/Φ when the full circle is taken to be Φ².
So...What is this equation actually good for?
So...What is this equation actually good for?
...............I'll leave that for each of you to figure out.
See you next time!
