Why 60? again.
Why divide the ecliptic into 60 segments?

1. Thank you all for reading this far.

    Tanu-chan is very much pleased💓!

"I could understand my personality"

"I now know how compatible I am with him! That's great!"

I hope you enjoy it!

Now, let me show you something about;

"Why 60 Zodiac Signs?"

"Why divide the ecliptic into 60 segments?"

for those of you who want to know more.

Of course, you don't have to think about it deeply.
Well, I'll just say that there is such a story.

2. As I wrote before,

The reason why we have 12 zodiac signs is,

2 factors(yin and yang) x 2 factors(male and female)
 x 3(methods of exercises)= 12.

Then,
WHY 12 x 5 = 60 constellations (60 divisions)?

It It is because,

The number that represents human beings is 5.

Look at Galileo's picture. ↓

3. To be precise, when humans are involved in circular motion(the Earth goes around the Sun), the circle is divided into five parts (pentagram).

In other words,
360 degrees(360°) ÷ 5 = 72 degrees(72°).
So 72° is one part (range).

And, since each part is independent and complete,12 constellations are contained within the 72 degrees.

That is, 72 degrees (72°)÷ 12 = 6 degrees(6°)
6 degrees (about 6 days and a bit) is one constellation (1 segment).

Then, in a year, we have
360° ÷ 6° = 60

So, the number of segments is 60.
This is what Tanu-chan calls "60stars astrology"!!

It is a little difficult to explain, but these 60 constellations are fixed in space (starry sky).

4.On the other hand, the 12 constellations that begin at 0 degrees of Aries on the vernal equinox are not fixed in the starry sky.

This is because the vernal equinox shifts slightly every year in space. In other words, the so-called "12 signs of the zodiac" are moving in space(starry sky) every year.
            ↓
From The vernal equinox(daytime and after-sunset times are equal) to the next 30 days are designated as Aries.
Taurus is in the first 30 days after Aries, and Gemini is in the second 30 days after that.
Cancer for about 30 days from the day of the summer solstice, Leo for about 30 days after that, Virgo for about 30 days after that,
and
Libra for about 30 days after the autumnal equinox, Scorpio for about 30 days after that, Sagittarius for about 30 days after that,
and
Capricorn for about 30 days after the winter solstice, Aquarius for about 30 days after that, and Pisces for about 30 days after that.

In total, it takes 365 days to complete one year (one cycle). This is everybody knows.

However, as Tanu-chan mentioned above, the vernal equinox is moving little by little in the sphere of fixed starsIt moves 360 degrees in about 26,000 years.
In astronomy, this is called " Precession".

5. On the other hand, according to Tanu-chan's 60stars astrology, one year(=the time period the sun circles the ecliptic) is divided into 5 periods.

(PART1) 26 degrees of Ecliptic longitude in the sky (around April 17 in the present era) to 97 degrees of Ecliptic longitude in the sky (around June 29 in the present era).

(PART2) Around 98 degrees of zodiacal longitude (around June 30 in the present era) to around 169 degrees of zodiacal longitude (around September 11 in the present era)

(PART3) Around 170 degrees of zodiacal longitude (around September 12 in the present era) to 241 degrees of zodiacal longitude (around November 24 in the present era)

(PART4) Around 242 degrees of zodiacal longitude (around November 25 in the present era) to 313 degrees of zodiacal longitude (around February 4 in the present era)

(PART5) Around 314 degrees of zodiacal longitude (around February 5 in the present era) to around 25 degrees of zodiacal longitude (around April 16 in the present era)

Thus, the year is divided into the above 5 periods, and each period contains 12 constellations from Aries♈ to Pisces♓.

∴ 5 periods x 12 constellations = 60 constellations.

And the positions of these 60 constellations do not change over the years. They will be in the same position in the sky a thousand years ago and two thousand years from now.(But the shape of the constellations may change a little.)

6. Tanu-chan wonders whether this is an easy-to-understand metaphor or not. I cannot describe it well, but it's like a wristwatch with bezel.

The so-called 12 constellations that everyone is usually talking about now are the 1 to 12 hour scale on the inside of a wristwatch,

and

Tanu-chan's 60 constellations are the 60 minutes and seconds on the moving bezel on the outside of the wristwatch.

To be precise, the inner (12) bezel moves and the outer (60) bezel does not move, like this image.↓

7. From here on, this is for people who are more knowledgeable about horoscopes, so I'll just write a quick note.

In Tanu-chan's 60stars astrology,  Aries ♈ I, starts around 26 degrees (25.5 to 26.5) of the ecliptic longitude.

This (the stars around 26 degrees Ecliptic longitude at this time) is the starting point of what Plato calls "The Great Years".

In other words, that seems to be the place in the sky where the first vernal equinox (Aries in the sky) was placed.
i.e.
The vernal equinox of that time was located there around the time of Plato.

But, the present vernal equinox has shifted about 26 or 27 degrees since then.
If the vernal equinox shifts about 3 or 4 degrees more, the vernal equinox will be into the constellation of Aquarius in the sky.

This is the beginning of the so-called
Age of Aquarius!

8. The vernal equinox moves through a constellation (30°) over a period of about 2170 years.

So it moves 1° in 72 years.

Around the time of Plato (the heyday of Athens), the vernal equinox was about to move from Aries toward Pisces in the sky.

💛 💛 💛 💛 💛 💛

The migration of the vernal equinox has been passed down in legend since the vernal equinox was in the constellation of Cancer.

The Chinese god Pangu 盤古大神 used a tortoise, a water creature, as his messenger, and the Indian god Vishnu also first incarnates as a tortoise or fish.= The age of Cancer

The Chinese legends of Nuwa and Fuxi, each named "Wind," are a pair of twins.= The age of Gemini

This was followed by the age of Shennong 神農, who took the form of a Taurus.= The age of Taurus
In the West, too, God Zeus is a Taurus.

The ram reigned in Egypt as an incarnation of the supreme god Amon Ra.=The age of Aries

And Jesus Christ used the two fish as a symbol of his missionary work.=The age of Pisces

Thus, the migration of the vernal equinox has been symbolized and preserved in various myths.(But most myths are a bit confusing.)
The records that remain today can be traced back to the time of Leo (the time of the Beast).

The stories Solon heard from Egyptian priests are very accurate, as same as the story of Atlantis.

The Egyptians must have been very careful in keeping records.

9. Well, it's been a long time coming, but this is my twelfth article. Since it's my first blog, my goal was to write a dozen posts first, and I managed it💛!

Maybe, after the next next article, Tanu-chan will take a short break.

In the next two articles, I'll give you a brief summary of the personality of each of the divisions(segments) that Tanu-chan's 60stars Astrology reveals (60 comments in total)!

After the break, I'll probably write an article every 10 days or so.
I may continue with the compatibility reading, maybe.

And....after that, I'm considering whether to write about the meanings of planets, angles(aspects) of stars, or job horoscope (≧▽≦)

That's all for today\(^o^)/
