㉛ About Astrological Aspects~ Introduction to Season 3

1. Well, Tanu-chan's story has finally reached Season 3!

Season 1 was the very basics, and Season 2 was the "about Compatibility", and in the story, the Sun, Ascendant, and a little bit of the Moon appeared.

From Season 3, we're going to get into the basics of how to read a horoscope specifically, and it's a little less interesting than judging compatibility, because there's quite a lot of logic involved.

The stories in this season3 will be a bit more advanced.

Tanu-chan has the following plans in mind.

In Season 3, I will explain the so-called aspects, or angles, between celestial bodies(Planets and so on.).

You may have heard that "the Sun forms a 120 degree trine to Jupiter " or that "the Moon forms a 90 degree square to Neptune.".

I'm just explaining the meaning of those aspects of 120 degrees, 90 degrees, and like that.

I wondered which should come first, the explanation of the celestial body (planets, etc.) itself or the aspect.

But, I decided I'll explain the aspect first, in this season3.

I'll explain the celestial bodies (planets, etc.) in more detail in Season 4.

If all goes well, in Season 5, we will go over the rest of the basics, such as how to read the houses and natal chart, and look a little bit at career luck, and then finally move on to reading future destinies in Season 6.

But there might be a little bit of a shift in order, or other chapters might come in.

2. So, what I'm going to do today is, before explaining "the aspects", I'm going to explain a little bit about the meanings, or properties, of the sun, planets, and other celestial bodies.

Otherwise, it is difficult to explain in what follows.

For example, when the Sun☉ and Jupiter♃ are in aspect of trine, it means that the Sun is at an angle of 120 or 240 degrees with Jupiter on the ecliptic (or more precisely, on the circumference made by the Sun, the Earth, and Jupiter).

In this case, the relationship between Jupiter and the Sun is very harmonious, and if this relationship exists at birth, the good meaning of the lucky star (Jupiter) will appear in the person's Sun = personality.

However, if you don't know the meaning of Jupiter at all, you wouldn't understand the good meaning of Jupiter, would you?

So, for now, I would like to write a brief description of the personalities and meanings of celestial bodies (planets, etc.).

Most of this information is the same (sometimes a little different) from what is written in books sold in bookstores, so if you don't understand, please buy and read such books.

3. For now, the first four celestial bodies that appear in this explanation of Season 3 are as follows.

A. The Sun☉

It indicates the source of life. It is the place of the person's consciousness brought about by the spirit of the person.

One's Sun☉ does not aspect the Sun itself in the birth horoscope.

The meaning of the Sun☉ is energetic, such as vitality.

It also represents the power of a higher power than oneself, and when reading the present or future destiny, which is not at birth, it indicates one's relationship to the state or other powerful or influential groups.

The state of the Sun☉ is expressed in the characteristics of a person's eyes.

The eyes are the mirror of a person's heart.

B The Moon.

It represents the subconscious mind.

Its power is great, but its outlines are vague. It may indicate the relationship with the mother, with women, or more broadly with the masses.

When the Moon is not well aspected, it is easy to feel depressed, and when it is not well aspected by stars of the Fire nature (the Sun or Mars or etc.), it is easy to get involved in emotional fights.

The Moon, in the body, affects the chest. This is the reason why you may have chest pains due to worry.

C  Ascendant (ASC).

It represents the person's physical consciousness, or so-called personality as seen by others. It is the personality that comes from the so-called behavior, appearance, and outward appearance of the person.

For example, if a person looks strong and is regarded as such by those around him or her, he or she will often behave in such a way and consider himself or herself to be a strong person.

The position of the Ascendant is the point on the ecliptic on the eastern horizon at the time of birth.

The influence of the Ascendant is so great that when the Ascendant has good aspects with other strong planets and so on, you are blessed with good physical strength, work and money.

When the Ascendant is not in good aspect with other strong planets (celestial bodies), you will have poor physical health, or you will not be able to do well at work. Also, people may treat you poorly.

The Ascendant is most related to the intestines in the internal organs. It is said that the intestines are the second brain, and it is true.

D. Zenith M.C.

It indicates the person's natural destiny ("calling"), of which he/she is often little aware. The location of M.C. is the position on the ecliptic zodiac closest to the actual zenith in the sky at birth.

If the angle between this M.C. and the sun or ASC is good, it is relatively easy to smoothly get a career that you like if you live according to your personality.

In the body, it affects the nerves, and when the aspect between M.C. and other strong planets is bad, you tend to make bad decisions  (Mistake!) in important matters.

Now, these four(☉ ☽ ASC M.C.) will be the special ones that have the most influence on an individual's life. The Sun and Moon are also called Lights because they shine.

The Ascendant represents the Earth (physical body).

If we speak of spirit and soul, the Sun corresponds to the spirit, the Moon to the soul, and the ASC and MC to the physical expression(like emotions) .

But usually, when we casually ask, "What kind of personality does he/she have?", we are talking about the personality that is expressed on the outside, so the ASC is the most prominent one.

When a person dies, the spirit leaves immediately, but the soul and the emotions attached to the body remain in this world for a while.

4. As many of you have probably already noticed, the above four indicate how the four elements are blended in a person, i.e.

Sun = Fire

Moon = Water

ASC = Earth

M.C.= Wind (sky)

For example, in the astrological chart at the time of birth (called the natal) , a person with a good aspect of the Sun☉ and the Moon☽ , is a person with a smooth relationship between the conscious and subconscious mind.

In short, it is a person with less conflict in his/her mind. As frustration is lower, the personality is often more amicable.

However, when the aspect of the Sun☉ and Moon☽ in the natal is bad, the manifested consciousness may be doing things that the subconscious dislikes, which causes conflict in the person's mind

So, the person tends to have an uneven mood and personality.

Also, when the aspect between the Ascendant and the Sun☉ is bad, it indicates that even if the person is in the mood to do something, somehow, physical obstacles or financial losses sometimes arise. However, people who are born with this aspect get used to it in a way and may have strong mental strength to do the opposite.

On the other hand, the aspect of the Ascendant and the Sun☉ is good, it generally indicates that what you want to do and what you do are aligned, and it is easy to bring good results smoothly, but you may not be accustomed to adversity, you may not be able to stick with it as hard as you can.

If 2 or more of these 4 points (☉/☽ /ASC/M.C.) are of the same element, that element is emphasized in a person's personality.

For example, in John Lennon's birth chart (horoscope), the Sun☉ is in Leo♌ (in 60stars astrology) and the ASC is in Aries♈, the Fire element is very strong, and that is why he appeared as such a creative and passionate personality.

5...I've rambled on a bit, haven't I?

For Season 3, I'm going to take it a little slower and update the blog about once every 10 days or so!

In the next article, I will continue to explain about celestial bodies (planets) in a more hands-on way.

That's all for today!
