102 Let's learn how to predict the future ~Season 5 Appendix 2‐②
About the sexagesimal system ②
The rationale for the sign and the progressive period
1. Why has the world always been in the sexagesimal(60) system?
It is because, in a word, based on the relations between 4 elements, 12signs and 20 progressive periods.
The world (heaven) can be divided as follows.
360=30*4*3,i.e.,30 degrees each x 12 signs
360=18*4*5,i.e., 18 degrees each x 20 progressive periods
2. If we look at the world as a circle or 360 degrees, then there are " Zodiac Signs" of 30 degrees each and "Progressive Periods" of 18 degrees each, according to Tanu-chan's story.
Some people may think,
"This Jap raccoon will later say, "Actually, there is also a division of 8 degrees," or "There is also a division of 25 degrees!"...
I am sure there are some people who would think, "What is this raccoon dog talking about?"
So, let me explain a little about the rationale for these two categories (sign and progressive period).
3. First, I mentioned before that the human world looks to consist, roughly speaking, of subjectivity (perseverance) and objectivity, and that objectivity can be divided into time and space.
Time is closer to objectivity, and space, on the other hand, is closer to subjectivity.
Because human beings cannot (feel) move freely through time with their senses.
Acquisition (activity emphasized by the appearance of opponents of the qualities) →
Retention (immobility, sublation of opposing qualities) →
Dispersion (flexibility, expression of qualities)
Acquisition (activity emphasized by the appearance of opponents of the qualities) →
Retention (immobility, sublation of opposing qualities) →
Dispersion (flexibility, expression of qualities)
I explained the above three forms before, which indicated the passage of time and the transition of things with it.
They say the stories of the movie "Cloud Atlas" describes it very well.
The 4 Elements (yin and yang (plus and minus, male and female) move in time,
The four elements✕3 forms = 12.
This is the meaning of the signs of the zodiac.
If we divide 360 degrees(the world) by this 12,
we get,
360/12 = 30,
which means that 30 degrees is one mass (one sign)!
4. Now, let me explain the next number, 18, which is related to space.
First of all, what is the number that represents space?
4. Now, let me explain the next number, 18, which is related to space.
First of all, what is the number that represents space?
Then, you might think that the number representing space is 6, since there are six directions (up, down, left, right, front, and back).
Or, you would think,(up, down),✕ (left, right),✕ (front, and back) = 8?
Or, you would think,(up, down),✕ (left, right),✕ (front, and back) = 8?
But No, it's 5, yes 5 directions.
The shape of three-dimensional space, or rather "this world", is a sphere of infinite radius.
The shape of three-dimensional space, or rather "this world", is a sphere of infinite radius.
This is what is called "the Poincaré Conjecture" solved by G. Y. Perelman.
Now, let us stand on the inner face of this sphere.
From there, in order to measure the position of a certain point inside the same sphere, in short, in order to grasp the position in space, the coordinates left, right, up and down are necessary,
.....but the "back" of the front and back are not necessary.
The reason is that back is outside the walls of the sphere, so it does not exist in this world.
In other words, human space is identifiable if we know only five directions.
5. And, you see, when the 4 Elements are in motion in the space of the world,
the types of motion are, 4 Elements✕ 5 directions = 20
This is the 20 progressive periods (divisions).
Then, divide 360° by these 20,
360 divided by 20 = 18°.
Then, divide 360° by these 20,
360 divided by 20 = 18°.
Thus, the world (360°) is divided by 18°.
So there are 12 ("zodiac signs") for every 30 degrees and 20 ("progressive periods") for every 18 degrees in this world (360 degrees)!
...Well, that's all for today.
See you next time.
