1.  So, what is the meaning of the sexagesimal system?

Time goes around in 12 signs and space goes around in 20 progressive periods, so the common multiple of 12 and 20 is 60.

In short, 60 refers to the period in which the temporal and spatial motions of The Four Elements return exactly to their original positions.

Thus,

60 = 20✕3

And

60 = 12✕5

where 3 is time and 5 is space.

More simply,

4 elements x time (3) x space (5) = 60

This is what it means.

We have 60 possible combinations of time, space, and the 4 elements.

So if we consider all the combinations, the world is divided into 60 pieces, so we have 60 stars astrology.

…Perhaps!

Even if the combination of "objective (time and space)" and the "four elements (matter)" is so, where do we locate the "subjective" ?

You may ask, but, sorry, Tanu-chan doesn't really know the answer to this question, either.

Well, so please ask smarter people about such things!

2. The Sumerians were amazing! 

They all used the sexagesimal system for reasons!

The old Chinese knew it too, that's why they have 60 Chinese signs (60干支）! 

But everyone seems to have forgotten the reason along the way.

So even now, all over the world, people don't know why, but clocks have 12 ticks, an hour is 60 minutes, and a minute is 60 seconds!

3.  But, as Tanu-chan wrote, there was a proper reason for it to be 60.

Astrology and other so-called Hermetic Sciences were thought to be old superstitions, but they are not.

If you observe properly, you can understand.

Long ago, Mr. Copernicus turned the heavens and the earth upside down and placed the earth at the center of the world.
