121   Let's Learn How to Predict the Future:

60stars Astrology Season 6-3

Western Europe section   K. von. Metternich ③

1. Now, let's continue with Mr. Metternich (V=3.75)!

Mr. Metternich had been trying his best to co-ordinate European countries since the "Congress of Vienna", but in July 1830, the balance was finally broken and the July Revolution occurred.

"My whole life's work is ruined," Metternich was famous for having said.

Then, Mr. Metternich's Sun proceeded to the next sign of Capricorn♑.
In Capricorn, however, Metternich receives trine of Saturn♄ and trine of the Sun☉ (Fig. 1, 1837), so his homeland, Austria, was rather too calm through diplomatic negotiations, aside from the rest of the world.

The succession to the throne by Fernando I (1835) also went well, and he remained chancellor and passed a rather peaceful time.

The cultural heyday of Vienna came during the reign of Franz Joseph I.
This was due to the peaceful reign of Metternich, which allowed the foundation of culture to develop.

2. In the meantime, however, times were moving on, and the European powers began to break their stride after the Ottoman War in Egypt in 1839.

However, the aging Metternich's methods gradually fell behind the times, and in February 1848, the flames of the February Revolution finally reached Austria.
Metternich was dismissed as Chancellor and exiled from the country.
At that time, his progressing Sun was in opposition with Saturn

3. Metternich then moved from one country to another, but was forgiven and returned to Vienna at the end of 1851.

His return to his old home city made him very happy.
His progressing Sun was in Conjunction with his natal Moon.

4. He then consulted with the king and was asked for his opinion by many young politicians.
He died in 1859 at the age of 86. (Ascendant Opposition)

 (Fig. 4)

We can say that Mr. Metternich was a very peaceful politician who did not often move armies (did not kill people), but always used negotiations and promises to get out of a pinch and expand his opportunities.

That is why he was able to return to his hometown after losing his office, and in the end, he was sent to heaven mourned by the people of his hometown.

Well, that's all for today.

From next time, I will introduce Mr. Goebbels from Germany and Mr. Mussolini from Italy.
