128 Let's Learn How to Predict the Future: 60stars Astrology Season 6-4

Latin  America  section

Simón Bolívar

1 . Now, today I would like to introduce you Mr. Simón Bolívar, a hero of Latin America.

Born on July 24, 1783, he has a very passionate image.

Natal chart is shown in Fig 1.
His V =3.27

His natal Sun was in Leo♌, Ascendant was in Aries♈, and Saturn was in Capricorn♑, so we can read that his fortune would be usually good when his progressive Sun was in the fire sign, and difficulties arise when his Sun be in the active sign.

Mr. Simón Bolívar's name is very famous in Japan and often appears in high school students' exams of world history.

2.  The son of one of the wealthiest families in South America, the Bolivar family, he was highly educated, but while studying in Spain, he fell passionately in love with Maria and returned to Venezuela in 1802.

However, the following year, Maria died of yellow fever, and Simon was very depressed.

He never remarried after this.

Simon's progressing sun at that time (1803, age 20) was at,
3.27 x 20 years + ♌1 degree = 66.4 degrees, or 6.4 °of Libra, which was in square to Saturn in his natal.
After that, his Sun would also be square to Sirius(8°of Libra).
(Fig 2)

This shows that the person experienced a very deep sadness due to a tragic separation from beloved relatives.

3.  Later, Mr. Bolívar joined the Venezuelan independence movement, but once Venezuela declared independence, the Fortress that he defended was defeated in July 1811, and Caracas, the capital city, was occupied by Spain in July 1812.

At that time, Mr. Simón Bolívar's progressive sun was in square with his natal sun.

4. However, starting the following year(1813), he took command of the Venezuelan counteroffensive by the Independence Army and, with his superior mobility, regained Caracas in August and proclaimed the establishment of the Second Republic of Venezuela.

Mr. Simón Bolívar's progressing sun at that time was,
3.27 x 30.1 years + ♌1 degree = 99.4 degrees, i.e., ♏9° in sextile with Saturn and in trine with Sirius.

(Fig 4)

5. However, the Spanish army was so strong that the Independence Army was defeated, and two years later, Simon fled to Jamaica.

In 1816, Simon re-embarked in Venezuela, but the battle between the Bolivarian and Spanish armies went back and forth.

Finally, three years later, during the cease-fire period, Simon went on the offensive in late 1820, winning the Battle of Boyacá then retaking Caracas.
Then he was nominated by Congress as the first President of Colombia (May 1821).

During this series of victories (1820-21), his progressing Sun was at,
3.27 x 37.5 years + ♌ 1 degree ≈ ♐3 degrees, in trine△ of his natal sun☉.

(Fig. 5)

6. Simon demonstrated his ability and in 1823 he proceeded to Peru, a stronghold of the royalist party, where he confronted the Spanish army in Lima and finally became President of Peru in February 1824.

Simón's progressing Sun at the time of this rapid advance was at,
3.27 x 40.5 years + ♌1 degree = 133.4 degrees, which means it was near 13 degrees of Sagittarius, it was in trine of his Ascendant(Fig.6).

Later, he fell ill (Opposition of his natal Moon), but his men, Sucre, the Commander-in-Chief, did his best, and the next year, 1825, the War for the Liberation of Peru ended.

(Fig 6)

In August of the same year, Congress names the country "Bolivia" after Simón and the capital "Sucre" after the Commander-in-Chief.

He became President of Bolivia and also served as President of Bolivia, Peru, and the Greater Colombian Triad.

This was the peak of his success.

7.  However, the country was exhausted by a series of battles, and although he attempted to seize dictatorial power in August 1828, it did not go well.

And in 1929, rebellions broke out in various regions.

Mr. Simón Bolívar's progressing sun around January 1929 was at,
3.27 x 45.5 + ♌1 degree ≈ 150 degrees, which meant that the natal Sun started its progression into Capricorn, the worst sign for him (the Active Sign).

(Fig 7)

8.  What followed was a series of quick defeats for him, and finally, in December 1830, Mr. Simon Bolivar died.

His progressing at that time was at,
3.27 x 47.42 + ♌1 degree ≈ 157 degrees, which was 7°of Capricorn, in conjunction with Saturn and in square with Mars.

(Fig. 8)

Mr. Bolivar threw everything into the revolution, and the Bolivar family fortune was completely destroyed.

However, in Latin America, Mr. Simón Bolívar was

“EL LIBERTADOR,(the Liberator).”

and became a legendary figure whose courage is still talked about today.

....That's all for today.
