③ Three Trees - Pentagon, Heptagon and Nonagon

1. Now, I have been searching for Φ-friends for a long time now, but Tanu-chan is looking for one more thing.

As a matter of fact, I am looking for a tree.

2. What I am saying is that, first of all, Φ is a number related to the pentagon, and it is the diagonal of the pentagon.

And Tanu-chan thinks that the pentagon expresses,

 "the Human World".

And maybe the tree of life in the Garden of Eden is related to the pentagon. 

It's a grapevine.



3. Then the heptagon is, its diagonals are,

The short one P=1.801937735804....

The long one Q=2.246979603717....
P+Q=PQ=4.0489177395....

and P and Q are the same number when added and multiplied together. 

The two numbers are a perfect couple.

And if we look at Mr. Alien's picture of the heptagon (Figure 1), the heptagon is related to the number "22".

So, Tanu-chan thinks that the heptagon is related to the tree of knowledge of good and evil, which shows the relationship between pairs of opposites.

In other words, it is an apple tree. 

It's God's tree, but from which humans secretly ate the apple.

.........But, maybe the tree of life is a heptagon, maybe the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is a pentagon, or maybe the grapevine is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

In the Book of Revelation, there is mention of the tree of life in the section related to 7,14,22.

Well, there are so many different opinions on this subject that Tanu-chan is not sure about it. 

I am not a Christian.

4. And I have a feeling that maybe there is another tree in God's world, a tree dedicated to God.

Of course, Tanu-chan may not be sick.
I just like to be delusional.


In Chinese mythology, there is a story about a large tree at the eastern edge of the world that has nine branches with ten suns☉ on them.

The branches are in water, and the suns☉, in their turn, rise to the top.

It has a name "Fuso（扶桑） tree" or something like that. 

I don't know the real name.


...In Nordic mythology, there are also more big tree or big trees, Yggdrasill, that divides the world into 9 parts.



If we describe this large tree in a graphic form, Tanu-chan feels that it would be a nonagon (9-gon).




5.  I am wondering what kind of tree this tree is.

So, Tanu-chan thinks that investigating the properties of a nonagon might help us find out what it is.

But there are not many books written about the nonagon.

So, first of all, I am researching pentagons and Φ, which have been studied a lot.

....By the way, there are three types of diagonals in a 9-gon. 

These diagonals, if the length of each side of a 9-gon is 1,

L=N+1

N squared = M+1
M squared = M+N+1
L squared = L+M+N+1

L x M = L+M+N
L×M×N=LM+MN+1....

As you can see, there are many mysterious relationships, as with the pentagonal and heptagonal diagonals.




6. But the 9‐gon is a little different.

For "n - gon " from "n"=3 to 8, let P be the shortest diagonal and Q be the next shortest (if there is only one kind of diagonal, consider P=Q.) , then,

" P to the n's power - {(Q squared - 1) x A} = B " 
(A and B are integers; A≥0 B≥0)”

This relationship can be formulated.

(Maybe later I will explain it, maybe! )


For example, in the previous article, I introduced, 

of a pentagon

" Φ to the 5th power - Φ × 5 

= Φ to the 5th power - (Φ squared - 1) × 5 

= 3 "

and , of a heptagon

" P to the 7th power - PQ x 14 

= P to the 7th power - (Q squared - 1) x 14 

= 5 "

...and so on. This is fine up to a regular octagon (8-gon).

But what happens when it's a nonagon?

N（P） to the 9th power - ( M（Q） squared -1) x .........???

Hey, that doesn't turn out to be a clean integer, does it?

Well, I tried this and that during New Year's, but it didn't work, or miscalculation??

...It works with octagon (8-gon) ,

P to the 8th power - (Q squared - 1) x 24

＝(1.8477...) to the 8th power - ((2.4142...) squared - 1) x 24

= 20

so, well, octagon looks the same to the triangle (3-gon) to the octagon (7-gon).

.........But for the nonagon (9-gon), that seems impossible.

I wonder why?  

Maybe we should do more research on the nonagon (9-gon) .
